Principal’s Corner
Dear Parents,
Your browser may not support display of this image. Blessings to you and your families! We have been very busy at St. Therese for these past weeks, learning, studying, preparing and testing. Next week, our students will take the Stanford Achievement Test. This is a very important part of the academic program at St. Therese. It enables us to assess our students’ performance and evaluate the curriculum materials that we use in the classrooms. The SAT 10 is used throughout the Diocese of Jackson and the scores of our students are compared nationally by grade level. Please read the materials that your child received today to insure a successful and stress-free testing experience.

Next week on October 1st and 2nd, we celebrate two more very special feast days. October 1st is the feast day of St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower of Jesus and the patron saint of our school. St. Therese believed that we may not be able to do great things; but she believed with all her heart, that we could do little things with BIG love! October 2nd is the Feast of the Guardian Angels. We thank God our father for the angels that He sends to watch over us daily.
Please keep our school community lifted in prayer as we move our students forward spiritually and academically in the coming weeks.
Mrs. McWilliams and Mrs. Luke
1. Please remember that all students who arrive after the 7:45 am bell are considered tardy. The parent/guardian must drive them around to the front office and escort them into the building and sign them in.
2. If a student is absent from school for any length of time (1 day or more than 1 day) a note MUST be sent by the parent or doctor, if warranted, in order for the student to return to school.

Saint Therese's "little way" was to trust in Jesus to make her holy and to rely on small daily sacrifices. If she didn't like someone, she smiled at them. If the food was bad, she ate it without complaint. It is this "little way" of sacrifice in daily living that people around the world strive to imitate
